Screaming Females in SPIN

Screaming Females' "Boyfriend" was named one of the Songs You Must Hear Now in the February '09 issue of SPIN:

"Songs You Must Hear Now"

Screaming Females "Boyfriend"
sure, the gender-blurred post-punk spew is bracing, but it's singer-guitarist Marissa P's strangled guitar that's got shit to say.

Screaming Females' Don Giovanni Records debut "Power Move" comes out April 14th.

Steinways Break Up

I guess it's fitting that our first blog post be bad news. The Steinways have decided to part ways, according to this statement by Grath Madden:

"So, yeah, we're not a band anymore, which means we won't be doing the shows we have scheduled or anything. I apologize for that. Anyway, lots of you folks on here have been amazing and wonderful and nice to us through the years, and I appreciate the fuck out of it. This band was sort of a dream come true for me, and I'm glad a few folks enjoyed it. It was rad."

We were really glad we got the chance to release a 7" from them (DG-16 Rocket Surgery) and are looking forward to seeing what they all do next.
