Ergs and Hunchback cancer benefit show

As you have most likely heard by now, two of our favorite bands are getting back together to play a benefit show for Jay Nixon's (Black Wine, Hunchback) mother. Tickets sold out to the first show in 5 minutes, but there will likely be something else announced. In the meantime, you can further support this cause here:

ERGS! and Hunchback
7PM Sunday Dec 5th 2010 at the Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park NJ

For one night only The Ergs! and Hunchback will reunite to kick medical bills in the arse. Jackie Nixon (J Nixon's mom) is battling cancer. We want her and her family to use their energy to fight this disease, not worry about bills. Help us help them and come support this cause! All proceeds go directly to the Nixon family. Information about the show is on Lauren Measure's amazing flier. Tickets go on sale Monday October 25th
Any questions? email me at randataylor (at)

New Black Wine 7"

Were totally psyched to announce a new 7" from Black Wine coming out in December. The three song 7", titled Dark Energy features one song with lead vocals by each band member.

Listen to the song Pick at Pieces here.

Free Download: Shape Shifter/Snakebite Discography

Snakebite, who later became Shape Shifter, were one of the first bands on Don Giovanni Records and the members of these two bands went on to be in many future bands on the label (For Science, Full of Fancy, Pregnant) as well as plenty of bands off the label (Night Birds, Psyched to Die, Mirrors and Wires).

The three 7"s released by these bands are in my opinion as strong today as they were when we first released them. Available now for the first time digitally, and also for free, these three recordings comprise the complete discography of the two bands.

Download them (along with some other releases) in the free downloads section of our store.
