Welcome Big Eyes!

It's been a really crazy couple of weeks recently here with new releases and new signings and now we have another big announcement...

Long time friends of the label, and one of our favorite bands going right now, Big Eyes, are going to be joining the Don Giovanni family. Led by Kate Eldridge, formerly of Cheeky, along with CJ who played in Hellhole on drums, and Mark Bronzino of Seasick/ANS fame rounding out the lineup on bass, Big Eyes play punk with influences ranging from The Muffs, to Mr. T Experience, to Ramones.

They are going to be doing a 7" single with us out in December (look for pre-orders very soon), and will be recording an LP for a May 2011 release.

Check out some of their songs here: http://www.myspace.com/bigeyesband

Welcome Laura Stevenson and the Cans!

We have been sitting on this one for a while and can't keep it in any longer. We are really excited to welcome Laura Stevenson and the Cans to our label family.

If you don't know them yet, Laura Stevenson got her start as a pick-up player in the Long Island punk rock collective Bomb The Music Industry. During her tenure, Stevenson began privately composing songs on the softer side of indie rock and traditional folk. With the addition of Mike Cambell and Alex Billig began playing out as Laura Stevenson and the Cans. Their first full-length LP A Record is a available in the pay what you want format from Quote Unquote Records as well as on CD and LP on Asian Man Records. The band has toured the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Western Europe for the better part of the past year.

Stay posted for more specific updates on plans for their follow up album to A Record.
